The Avengers was amazing.

I was a little scared they might screw it up somehow but everyone seemed to love it which raised my expectations for it.  I had also forgotten that it was written and directed by Joss Whedon, so I should have expected it to be awesome.  At first I was kind of disappointed that Edward Norton wasn’t returning as Bruce Banner/Hulk (I don’t like when they replace actors in the middle of a series) but Mark Ruffalo did an excellent job and the Hulk scenes towards the end were great.

I’m almost tempted to call it my favorite movie of the year, but it’s still early in the year and we have movies like The Dark Knight Rises coming up and The Hobbit at the end of the year.

Well, seems like it’ll be a great year for movies.
